ACU Bearing Fruit

The apostle Paul instructed the young preacher, Timothy that he should, “preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.” (II Timothy 4:2 ESV) This is what the faculty, staff, students, and graduates of Asian Christian University (ACU) are doing. With all diligence, the Gospel message is being shared with those who need to hear. The results are evidence of the faithful teaching and preaching.

The recent news of seven souls being immersed into Christ to be part of His magnificent Kingdom was great to hear. These new Christians will be served by a faithful preacher trained at ACU. This is the purpose of Asian Christian University. It has always been our goal to prepare young men to be Gospel preachers, ready to share the message of God’s grace to those in the Philippines and beyond. To see God blessing this work is confirmation that all our efforts are worthwhile. The Gospel is being preached, the Kingdom is being expanded and the saved are being taught to be faithful followers of Jesus and His word.

Our Filipino brethren recognize the graduates of ACU as the best-prepared preachers in the Philippines. With a sound knowledge of God’s word and a genuine zeal for sharing the Gospel with their fellow countrymen, ACU graduates are making a difference. By helping with the preparation of these young preachers, supporters of ACU share in the success of the graduates, current students, and faculty. Thank you to all congregations and individuals who are making these occasions possible.

The students and faculty at ACU have worked throughout the year, both to share the message of salvation and to relieve the suffering of those affected by tragedy. They have gone to great lengths to share food and water to those affected by the typhoons throughout the summer and fall months. They have comforted those who have suffered the loss of loved ones. They have fed the less fortunate. From these acts of compassion, people see Christ at work and are interested to learn more about their love for Jesus.

We are in desperate need of young men and women who have accepted God’s command to “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:19-20) With our help, our Filipino brethren are doing just that. With the enthusiastic efforts of these young Gospel preachers, this work goes forward. We are happy to help train future students who will be taught at ACU through our joint efforts.
